REFLECTION

Experience
Since I read the module information booklet, I've been excited to finally learn the basics in Typography. Though expressing type simply through words and symbols only was quite challenging, I really enjoyed the process of learning the techniques, as well as finally creating my own typeface. I

Observations
Through this semester, I really gained more knowledge and insight towards typography. I learned some of the history behind some letterforms and typefaces and I found that really interesting. It was really nice learning about how the letters came to be the letters we now know as English.

Findings
I find that I now know the difference between a typeface, font, letterform. I also know how to identify the baseline, cap height, etc. of a certain typeface. I notice the significance and importance of typography in our world today, especially how we make use of it. A certain typeface or text-formatting must reflect the message being communicated. I can't wait to learn more in Advanced Typography in my coming semesters.
