Law of Closure
- despite the lack of complete lines, our heads can imagine what the image is supposed to look like

The image below don't contain a triangle but our minds are able to see it because of how the objects are placed.

INSTRUCTIONS

Digital Triptych

We were tasked to create a Digital Triptych using the illustration we created for Task 2. We have to choose one of Scott Mcloud's transitions (moment-to-moment, action-to-action, subject-to-subject, scene-to-scene, aspect-to-aspect). Then, we illustrate the 2 other panels consisting of the before and the after of the decisive/turning moment.

Skech
I decided to go with the action-to-action. My idea is to illustrate Sundel Bolong giving birth to her baby through her back, then leaving her grave to avenge her life, just like legend says.

Process
First I duplicated the artboard with the original illustration as the two panels happen with the same setting.

Then I illustrated Sundel Bolong carrying her baby toward her grave and seemingly putting it down on the ground. Only the back of the subject is illustrated to indicate her walking away from the camera, her long hair covering her back for the reveal of her bloody back in the 2nd panel.

For the final panel, I removed the subject and added footprints on the ground to indicate that the subject has walked away. I also added the "WAA" text to indicate the baby crying. This emptiness is intentional to give a sense of eeriness to the overall mood of the digital triptych.

After adding the textures and grains, I placed the 3 panels onto one artboard to produce the final outcome.
